Upcoming Bill Hearings

  • Floor session only until September 13th. The Legislature will then go on fall recess.

Legislative Deadlines:

  • September 13, 2025: Interim Recess began upon adjournment.
    • Note: Last Friday, the Legislature adopted a suspension of Joint Rule 51(a)(4) and Joint Rule 61(a)(14) to allow both housing to continue considering legislation after the original September 12th deadline.
  • October 13, 2025: Last day for Governor to sign or veto bills passed by the Legislature before Sept. 13 and in the Governors possession on or after Sept. 13.
    • Note: The original deadline was October 12th. Due to the Legislature adjourning on September 13th, the Governor will have until midnight on October 13th to take action on legislation.

Procedures put in place to accommodate the pandemic restrictions have been reverted back to pre-pandemic practices in the Senate. Teleconference testimony during Senate and Assembly committee hearings will no longer be available.
